Arrowhead Behavioral Health offers confidential, quality treatment programs for Impaired Practitioners by assisting those who have been affected by alcohol or other drug addiction in a confidential home-like setting. Our programming is designed to meet the unique needs of each professional, providing a culturally sensitive environment conducive to healing and recovery. 

Arrowhead Behavioral Health is certified by the Ohio State Medical Board to provide treatment to Impaired Physicians, Pharmacists, Massage Therapists and other professionals. Our programs are designed to work with our patients to achieve and maintain their goals so that they can continue to lead successful personal and professional lives. The following therapeutic services are provided:

  • Individual assessment and diagnosis to ensure appropriate and complete treatment of chemical dependency and co-occurring behavioral health disorders
  • 24 hour medical and nursing care during inpatient detoxification
  • Three day patient evaluation ruling out addiction or providing diagnosis and treatment recommendations
  • Assistance in regaining or retaining professional licensure upon successful completion of the program
  • Focus on rehabilitation to ensure successful re-entry into the workforce
  • Capacity to identify and treat relapse potential
  • Family therapy and education sessions
  • Strong alumni/peer support involvement
  • Emphasis and frequent exposure to the AA recovery program

Impaired Practitioner Outpatient Programs:

Arrowhead Behavioral Health offers comprehensive Outpatient Programming as a step down option for professionals who participate in the Inpatient program. Outpatient levels of care are focused on group therapy to assist in the continuation of understanding how alcohol and drug addiction is affecting their roles as professionals. The outpatient programs include both Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient as well as a Relapse Prevention Group. Benefits of the outpatient programs include:

  • Intensive outpatient treatment groups with minimum three-hour sessions
  • Individual therapy sessions by licensed professionals
  • Two year Ohio State Medical Board Certified Aftercare program
  • Suboxone outpatient treatment
  • Continued assistance in regaining or retaining professional licensure upon successful completion of the program
  • Weekly toxicology screens included in outpatient programming
  • Continued strong alumni/peer support involvement
  • Minimum attendance of three outside groups such as AA/NA or Mental Health support groups.
