TRICARE Military Inpatient Detox and Rehabilitation Program
Arrowhead Behavioral Health has a specialized TRICARE Military Inpatient Detox and Rehabilitation Program. This program can be up to 28 days, depending upon each individual’s specific needs. Arrowhead provides a culture respective of the unique mental health and family support needs faced by our Service Members, Veterans and their families. Our treatment includes:
- Inpatient Acute Services
o Readjustment Therapy Services
o Detoxification and Rehabilitation for Substance Abuse
- Dual Diagnosis (Co-occurrence of mental illness with substance abuse)
- Partial Hospitalization
- Intensive Outpatient Services
- Coordination/Linkage to Eligible Resources
Key components of the program include:
- Detoxification and Rehabilitation provided in one stay addressing both Substance Abuse and Mental Health issues
- Extended Family Visitation and Therapy Sessions
- Recreation including use of gymnasium, electronics, internet access, workout room and outside activities
- Matrix Model of Recovery based programming (utilizing motivational enhancement and cognitive behavioral therapy)
- Staff respectful of military culture (addressing PTSD, readjustment concerns/issues, etc.)
- Trauma-Informed Care

There are many components that compound the stress response related to Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom:
- Multiple deployments
- High intensity of conflict
- Duration of current conflicts
- Readjustment
These situations cause additional stress on the family and those deployed. Arrowhead Behavioral Health has psychiatrists, registered nurses, therapists and other professionals prepared to assist those suffering through these difficult times. Through treatment, we can teach the necessary resiliency skills to support healthy coping strategies addressing the stress of military life.
